Thought all dogs had to be on a leash, not so here. Thought the most tents a group could have on a site was 2, also not true. Thought the max amount of people (including kids) wad 6, also not true.
We didn't camp here but rented one of many available lake houses which were minutes from the beach. No fee to get in. Ample parking right of the beach. There is a restroom nearby also an outdoor shower. The only issue I had was the couple pieces if glass on the beach. There was flooding days before we arrived so it is possible that it washed up from somewhere else. The beach was full of sticks as well. Needed a little clean up. Otherwise, we had fun on the floaties and enjoyed watching the boats go by.
Fun place to take kids. Bring warm clothes.
The best beach at rough river hands down Labor Day weekend was great
